Advisory Guide for First Responders with regard to dangers associated with aircraft ballistic recovery systems.
This safety video has been produced by Cirrus Air Safety with first responders as its target audience. The intent is to inform first responders of the potential hazards they may encounter when working on or around a Cirrus airplane at an accident site.
Special emphasis is placed on the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS). While all the situations faced at an accident site cannot be foreseen or predicted, experience has shown that training and prior knowledge is the best way to stay safe.
